Formula 701 is a non-silicone mold releasing agent specially developed for molding of thermoplastics, thermosets and elastomers which are of higher processing temperatures, up to 260°C (500°F). Formula 701 is excellent for processing materials such as acetyl, nylon, vinyl, PVC, phenolic and urethane. The dry film it forms will not pick up dust or dirt. It will not be affected by corrosive reagents. It is fast drying and good for injection molding where clarity and deep draw are important particularly for hard, brittle resins. The formula will also give lubrication in temperature ranging from -50°F to 500°F. The product does not contain any CFC and ODS materials, it is a PTFE based formulation.
For injection molding – it is paintable, fast drying, non-oily surface, will not interfere with bonding, ultrasonic welding compatible, safe on solvent-sensitive plastics.
Paintable, suitable for metal hot stamping, permits ultrasonic welding of plastics parts.
