NON-SILICONE MOLD RELEASE | PRODUCT CODE : SL- 17 BRAND NAME : NON-SILICONE MOLD RELEASE FORMULA 700 | DESCRIPTION Non-Silicone Mold Release SL-17 was developed as a non-silicone release agent suitable for precision injection and compression moulding for thermoplastic and some thermoset materials. It is a vegetable base release agent for a drier, less oily releasing particularly for transparent plastic materials. It will eliminate any stress cracking and crazing when moulding polyethylene. It is good for moulding parts which require further processing such as silk screening, lacquer spraying, lamination, heat sealing and electroplating. It gives a clean finishing on the moulded parts. Some of the plastic materials that can be used with Formula 700 are : Acetal, ABS, Acrylic, Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polysulfone and Nylon. This formulation does not contain ozone depleting chemicals and it is biodegradable. The release agent is a food approved material. This formulation is safe on solvent sensitive plastics and will not interfere with bonding. It is important for users to always test any release agent with a particular resin or polymer. | | | PRODUCT PROPERTIES Paintable, suitable for metal hot stamping, permits ultrasonic welding of plastics parts. | Typical Physical & Chemical Properties | Specific Gravity (25°C) | : 0.7 (concentrate) | Flash Point | : < O degree C | Appearance | : Amber, transparent | Flammability | : Flammable | Operating Temperature | : 260°C max | Evaporation Rate | : Fast drying solvent | | Direction of Use - Make sure the mold surface is clean.
- Spray evenly from a distance of 15 to 20 cm to obtain good overage.
