White Anti-Corrosion Agent Formula AR-119 | PRODUCT CODE : PC-70 BRAND NAME : White Anti-Corrosion Agent Formula AR-119 | DESCRIPTION AR-119 was developed as a protective agent for metal moulds against rust, moisture and corrosive vapors. The formula contained corrosion inhibitors that will adhere firmly on the metal surface at normal temperature to give a waxy film which forms a barrier against oxidative, acidic and alkalis environment. AR-119 which is non-greasy, will dry to a soft film on the metal mould surface within several minutes after spraying. AR-119 was formulated to give metal moulds a grease-free and oil free surface after allowing the moulds to run for a few injection cycles before actual production. This process helps to reduce set-up time and resume production sooner. Alternatively it can be cleansed by common solvents or it can be wiped off using a soft cloth or tissue paper. | | | Typical Physical & Chemical Properties | Specific Gravity (conc.) | : 0.93 | Flash Point (conc.) | : < 0ºC, Closed Cup | Appearance | : Transparent White | Flammability (conc.) | : Flammable | | RECOMMENDED FILM THICKNESS FOR INDOOR RUST PROTECTION 3 months - 0.3 mm | 6 months - 0.4 mm | 1 year - 0.5 mm | Please take note that the above figures indicate mainly for the spray thickness on the mould surfaces. | Direction of Use Shake the can before spraying. Adjust spraying distance to give good even coverage. Spraying from a distance of about 6 inches gives the best coverage. For better anti-rust protection, spray thicker coating. To achieve even coverage, spray from left to right and do not spray at one area for too long. It is important before spraying AR-119 that the mould surfaces be clean and does not contaminate with metal dust, water vapor and fingerprints. These are attributes of rust formation. | Caution Do not spray near any fire or sparkling point, neither should it be stored near area with temperature above 40ºC. If accidentally swallowed, call for medical help immediately. For skin contact, wash thoroughly with water and soap. Contents under pressure. Do not puncture or incinerate container. Keep out of reach of children. | 27 May 2005. | |
